Week 3:  Kirkpatrick Level 2 Assessment

This week we needed to create a Kirkpatrick Level 2 Assessment. Check out mine below!

Quiz 1 - Essay Elements

I was hoping that Canvas would have a Likert option or a drag and drop option for the quiz but unfortunately it doesn't seem to be the case. So I needed to use more multiple choice style questions than I wanted. I could have made more open questions, but I want the course to be scalable and having too many open questions in this quiz might add too much for grading, especially since the instructor/instructional team will have to grade all the final essays at the end of the course as well.

Terminal Learning Objective

By the end of the course the learner will be able to write a five-paragraph academic essay in the correct structure including introduction, conclusion, and body paragraphs, thesis statement and topic sentences.

Course Learning Objective
1. Identify different elements of five-paragraph essays

Learning Materials

I will have a combination of proprietary text-based material and videos to explain a birds-eye view of introductions, body paragraphs, conclusions, topic sentences, thesis statements, the importance of citation, and point of view in writing. I am using one of the modules that I made in LDT300x but since Canvas Free for Teachers doesn't allow for imports via SCORM, I'm still in the midst of copying over all the material by hand and also making more materials.

Activities/Tasks

1. Match elements of each paragraph with the parts of the paragraphs they belong in using digital flashcards. I have made the digital flashcards in Quizlet: https://quizlet.com/_cdfxa4?x=1jqt&i=1e3db0
